Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt prepared to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate issued a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public personalities expressed different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making controversial statements that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the remarks as "shocking" and suggested they revealed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide should have acted when the decision to comment on the death was made.
